Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Lumio and the tools available at lumiotools.com. By creating an account or using any Lumio tool you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
Lumio provides web-based AI and SEO visibility tools for education marketers, including AIChatRank, CourseCheck, MetaWriter, RivalScan and AIOverview Optimiser. We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@lumiotools.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we believe are being used fraudulently.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Prices are displayed on the pricing page and may vary by region based on local currency. We use Stripe to process payments securely.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You can cancel at any time from your account page — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain Pro access until then.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable law.
4. Free tier
We offer a limited free tier that allows use of CourseCheck without an account. Free tier usage is subject to fair use limits. We reserve the right to restrict or remove free access at any time.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Lumio for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape or extract data from Lumio's tools or APIs at scale
- Use Lumio to analyse pages you do not have permission to analyse
- Resell or sublicense access to Lumio without our written permission
- Interfere with or disrupt the security or performance of the service
- Create multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits
6. Intellectual property
All content, software, branding and materials on lumiotools.com are owned by or licensed to lumiotools.com. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute them without our written consent.
Results generated by Lumio tools based on your input (such as generated meta descriptions or schema markup) are yours to use freely.
7. Data and privacy
Your use of Lumio is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
Lumio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that results will be accurate or complete. SEO and search ranking data is sourced from third-party providers and reflects conditions at the time of the query — it may not reflect real-time search results.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, lumiotools.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify account holders of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
